Did you know that hidden within the walls of Willesden Jewish Cemetery are the foundation stones of synagogues and communities that have long since disappeared?

Join us on a fascinating journey through 150 years of Anglo-Jewish history and discover some of the stories of the congregations, personalities and communities that helped shape Jewish life in Britain.

This guided walk explores the people behind these communities, from Chief Rabbis, Dayanim and military chaplains to community leaders, architects and members of Ladies' Guilds.

At its heart is a unique exhibition of foundation stones, rescued from synagogues whose congregations have moved, merged or closed. Preserved at Willesden Jewish Cemetery, these stones are remarkable reminders of once-thriving communities across London and beyond, each with its own story to tell.

Walks will start at the Visitor Centre and last roughly 75 minutes. We recommend you leave some time before or afterward to further explore the Visitor Centre and funerary buildings.

A limited amount of parking is available on site.
