WJC is now a member of the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe

We are delighted to share the exciting news: Willesden Jewish Cemetery has been formally recognised as a Significant Cemetery by the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe - ASCE.

This prestigious recognition places Willesden among a distinguished network of historic cemeteries across Europe, acknowledging both the site’s rich heritage and our growing work in education, community engagement and interpretation.

For us, this is not just an award, it demonstrates our vision to open the cemetery as a space of memory, learning and connection, where stories of Jewish life in Britain can be shared with wider audiences.

We look forward to contributing to this international network and continuing to develop the House of Life as a place where past and present meet in meaningful ways.
