There is an old tradition to visit a cemetery during the period surrounding Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), as we reflect on the significance of these days. A volunteer guide will take you on a special tour of the graves of well-known Rabbis, Teachers and Zionists.
The House of Life is a local visitor attraction at Willesden Jewish Cemetery. For a small price we are offering volunteer-led tours to visit the graves of some of the fascinating people buried in the cemetery and to hear about their lives. This particular tour tells the stories of notable Rabbis such as Chief Rabbi Hermann Adler and Chief Rabbi Joseph Hertz as well as intriguing teachers and Zionists. The only Jewish cemetery Registered as a Park and Garden of Special Historic Interest, Willesden offers a remarkable heritage experience.
