Self Guided Trails

Use our free self guided trails developed especially for schools.

We have specifically crafted self-led trails tailored for families and schools, designed to enhance your exploration and enjoyment of the cemetery as a cohesive group or class. These trails bring to life the stories of individuals interred on-site, offering insights into the cemetery's rich history. We are pleased to provide maps and pencils for your self-guided adventure. For more information and to book please fill in the form below.

Please note: all content is curriculum relevant for KS2, but geared towards year 5 and year 6 pupils due to the potentially sensitive nature of the subject matter on-site.

Cost

On site workshops and self-guided tour cost £75 per visit.

Sessions are best experienced in single class groups, but we can if necessary accommodate two classes, with a maximum of 50 students per session.

If the cost of the session is going to be a barrier for your group please get in touch at heritagelearning@theus.org.uk to find out about subsidised places for schools with high levels of deprivation. These subsidies are limited and are first come, first serve.

Once your session is confirmed we’ll send you an invoice for the full amount. Invoices must be paid two weeks from the invoice date.
