Mitzvah Day

Come and take part in Mitzvah Day, the Jewish-led interfaith day of hands-on social action, open to people of all backgrounds.

  • Sunday 22 November

  • 10.30am – 12.00 noon

Join us for a morning of community volunteering as we help care for the beautiful grounds of Willesden Jewish Cemetery.

Together, we will be:

  • Collecting leaves from the paths and between the memorials for compost making

  • Planting containers with bulbs for spring flowering

  • Weeding and tidying up areas around the memorials

helping to care for this unique heritage site while contributing to our composting programme, which supports the cemetery's gardens, biodiversity and wildlife.

Whether you're a regular volunteer or visiting for the first time, we'd love you to join us. No previous gardening experience is needed – just bring your enthusiasm!

Afterwards, enjoy light refreshments and the opportunity to learn a little more about the House of Life and the work we do.
