Cemetery Heritage Workshops - Online and at Lauriston Road Cemetery, Hackney
Join us and be part of preserving our heritage. We are launching an exciting new project at the historic Lauriston Road Jewish Cemetery in Hackney in collaboration with Caring for Gods Acre and we are looking for volunteers.
Together, we will record and photograph the gravestones, ensuring that the names and stories in this important cemetery are remembered for future generations.
You just need to be able to complete the self-led free training sessions and join us for the hands on workshop!

Complete 4 self led free online training courses (photography, recording, research and health & safety).
Take part in interactive webinars with expert guidance.
Join a hands-on workshop at Lauriston Road Cemetery using your new skills.
Explore Jewish heritage further, with extra webinars on Jewish symbolism and reading Hebrew inscriptions planned for winter 2025.
Equipment provided, you just need enthusiasm and commitment.
